Jacob’s words to Joseph are less prophetical and more about his life and character. He calls him a fruitful bough by a spring. He had been fruitful in having children, and keeping the world alive during the famine. Are we bearing fruit for God, for His people, and being a blessing to the world? What do we do with the time the Lord has given us? The tree is fruitful because it has a source of water. We need to feed on the word of God in order to be fruitful.
