Do Not be Anxious
Bible Text: Philippians 4:6-7 | Preacher: James Allan | Series: Philippians | Worry is another thing that will rob the Christian of joy. Paul doesn’t just say not to worry but to turn to God and pray. Prayer is not meditation or contemplation. It is speaking to God. Prayer changes things. This is not universal; it is for the followers of Jesus. It reminds us that God is for us; he does not want us to fail. The promise is not that the thing we’re worried about will go away, but that He will be with us.
