Bible Text: John 1:1-3 | Preacher: James Allan | Series: Christmas 2017 | Jesus was always God. His existence did not begin in the manger. He is God and yet the Word was with God. This doesn’t seem to make sense. There is equality but subordination in the Trinity; equal in being but with different roles. God is the most extraordinary being. Why would  we want a gift of the Son of God dying to save sinners? To accept the gift we have to swallow our pride and say we need it.
