God’s purpose for every one of His people is to bring them to be with and like the risen Christ in glory. Every step of the journey is planned. The first stage is God’s foreknowledge. If it only means God knows in advance who will become Christians, it doesn’t give us much confidence. These stages are all things that God does. It’s not because He foresaw anything in us; we are His people because He loved us.
