There was tension between the Lord and His brothers but James had an encounter with the risen Christ that changed him. He describes himself as a servant, not a brother of Christ. We should aspire to be servants rather than leaders. The book of James is not hard to understand but it's hard to put into practise. Out of 108 verses there are 59 commands. Our hearts will be pricked. We should be on our guard against an angry response when the book convicts us.
