Love with knowledge and discernment comes from God by prayer. There is a shadow of death over the whole world. What really matters to Paul is being ready for the day of Christ. We must allow Him to get us ready for heaven. He gives us His blameless life, as if it were the life we lived. The Christian, having received all this, produces the fruit of righteousness.
