The Danger of Money
Bible Text: Ecclesiastes 5:8-6:9 | Preacher: James Allan | Series: Ecclesiastes | The desire for more wealth is dangerous because it will never be satisfied. Being rich offers no advantage over the poor because there is always something else one wants. We crave something for a long time but when we get it we soon move on to wanting something else. It can also hurt and ruin us. It is a difficult thing to have wealth and lose it. Enjoyment can be had in this life by being content with what God gives us and living for His praise and glory, not craving what we don’t have. Laying up treasure in heaven brings real satisfaction, knowing God now and in eternity.
