The Far Country

Passage: Luke 15:11-32
Service Type:

This story illustrates God's attitude to receiving those who have gone astray. The far country is presented as an attractive place. However, as life goes on he discovers it's a greedy place. He only had their attention while there was something in it for them. When the money ran out, the friends ran out. There was no kindness. When our soul becomes hungry for the reality of God the world has nothing to offer. All that the world has to offer is pig swill. It can't offer peace and acceptance with God.
