Bible Text: Mark 4:1-20 | Preacher: James Allan | Series: Mark | The emphasis of the parable is on the different soils. Some hearts are impermeable; there is no way in for the Word. Some people respond with joy but when the going gets tough they turn away. The seed growing among everything else is choked. We crave other things which may be legitimate but they take over our hearts. The good soil is the right response. If we want to be the most fruitful, godly Christian we can be, we need to be a consistent gardener, regularly rooting out the weeds.
