Bible Text: Daniel 1 | Preacher: James Allan | Psalm 137 sets the scene for Daniel 1. Nebuchadnezzar besieged Jerusalem and God seems to have been defeated. It might feel like God is defeated today. Each generation seems to grow bolder in opposition to God. We need to remember that God is king. It was God who delivered Jehoiakim to Nebuchadnezzar. God helps His people. David and his companions underwent a brainwashing programme and our media is preaching a sermon to us. Bold, courageous Christians are needed now. So often when we have to make a stand, our worst fears are not realised.
