Bible Text: John 1:1-42 | Preacher: David Harding | John tells us he wrote that people would believe and have life in Jesus’ name. He begins in a “time” before there was time, before Jesus received that name, and so calls Him “the Word”. This is the Word divine; He who is with God is Himself God. The Word is declared by John the Baptist and we have a responsibility to declare what we know. The world does not want it but by His grace there will be those who believe. The Word displayed as the maker of all atoms takes upon Himself flesh. This is a profound mystery. We must wonder and worship.
