This sobering passage describes the last day of a man's life. It started with a party and ended with the death of king Belshazzar. He knew all about how God dealt with Nebuchadnezzar but he did not humble his heart. His contempt for the vessels from the temple in Jerusalem showed his contempt for God. There was an army outside but Belshazzar felt safe. If tonight is our last night, are we safe in Christ?
