Just because we can’t understand things, it doesn’t mean God doesn’t have a purpose. It’s wrong to think God doesn’t understand suffering; we cannot understand Jesus’ cry of separation on the cross, no matter how much we have suffered. Jesus tells them to consider their own mortality and to repent. The turning of repentance is a turning to Christ. He has earned the perfect life we could never live.
