We Uphold the Law
Bible Text: Romans 3:31 | Preacher: James Allan | Series: Romans | Paul has shown how the fathers were justified by faith, not the law. However, the gospel honours the law as it reveals sin. In the gospel the requirements of the law are met. Jesus put Himself under the law as a man so that He might fulfil it. The law is upheld as our rule. The things we do will never contribute to our salvation but we cannot throw out obedience. There is agony over sin. It is unthinkable that we should throw out the law and offend God. The law is our rule for life, showing how we express our love for Him.
