Our annual “Welsh Night” will be held on Thursday, 7th March at 7:30pm. Adrian Brake will give a talk on “Preaching Christ in the Marketplace: John Pugh and the Story of the Forward Movement”.
John Pugh had been a pastor in our nearby town of Tredegar for nine years before erecting a tent in Cardiff as a means of establishing a new Calvinistic Methodist church. This marked the beginning of the Forward Movement in Wales.
Hebron’s Welsh Night is an annual service on or around St. David’s Day, presenting a different topic from Welsh church history. The service is conducted in English. Afterwards there will be refreshments and traditional Welsh treats: pikelets, Welsh cakes and bara brith. This is a free event and everyone is welcome to attend.
