Jesus is moved to tears for Jerusalem and desires they would know the things that make for their peace. He offers eternal peace. He also desires that they know their time of visitation. He has come into the world with the solution for all its problems, yet so many despise Him. Rejecting Christ deserves punishment. His bleak prediction about Jerusalem is only a glimpse of eternal punishment, but He is ready to save. Do we recognise what is in front of us? What is our peace and hope?
