Daniel continues to serve faithfully under Darius the Mede and no fault can be found in him. Could the same be said of us? A law is proposed - no prayer to any god or man - but Daniel continues to pray as he had done previously. His heart was for Jerusalem and we can pray for the church. Thanksgiving can strengthen our faith. If we were told we couldn't pray, would it make any practical difference to us? Christ never stops praying for His people.
